Different computer & phone operating systems render special characters differently, so be sure to test before publishing.

Another way to make a superscript is to use the <SUP> and </SUP> tags [in code view] on either side of the digit(s) or letter(s) you want to raise. To make a subscript, use the <SUB> and </SUB> tags. Subscripts and superscripts are inline elements, aka "text-level" elements.
See here for more tips on entering in Microsoft applications. The clover can be entered in Word by typing 2618 then pressing and holding ALT while typing x, but it can also be entered by holding ALT while typing 9752 on the numeric keypad. (Notice this does not work in Dreamweaver.)
Keep in mind that the font you're using may impact whether or not the symbol will display properly.
